RENEWED MARRIAGE VOWS

RENEWED MARRIAGE VOWS

We went to Cana and celebrated Mass at the site of Jesus’ first miracle by changing water into wine. This was also were we renewed our wedding vows together with five other couples. It was a very touching incident complete with arrhae, veil and cord, courtesy of Letty Meim. Dra. Lao gave each couple a golden Aladdin lamp.

Afterwards we proceeded to Nazareth where Jesus Christ grew up with His parents. We entered the Church of the Annunciation, which was dedicated to Mary. Fifty one steps above was the upper level. We entered the Church marking the workshop of Joseph, 14 steps above the original site.

We had lunch at the Mall. Then,we climbed Mt. Tabor also known as the Mt. of Transfiguration. It was where Jesus went together with Peter, James and John who witnessed His Transfiguration.. It was a high mountain with 29 zig-zag curves to reach the top.

GOODBYE HOLYLAND

We visited and had mass at Mt. Carmel, site of Elijah’s contest with the Prophets of Baal. We passed by the wide green orchards on both sides of the road. As we approached the Mediterranean Coast, we visited Caesaria, the largest city in the Holy Land. We viewed the aqueduct and the ruins of the Roman Amphitheater.
After lunch, we proceeded to Tel Aviv passing the diamond exchanged building.
Finally, we were billeted at Ramada Hotel.
While in Mt. Carmel we were shown the Maggido where the final battle between Christ and Satan was supposed to take place according to the Book of Revelation.
This was our last day of stay in Israel where Jerusalem, the Holy Land was found. This was supposed to be the Promised Land, yet it was here where people were so divided about religious beliefs.
This was the land of dispute, of misunderstanding, of riots and of wars. Satan must be roaming around.
